Tom Robles has been designing and manufacturing clothing since 1985. His lines are structured and clean, with a focus on fabric drape, a neutral colour palette and a unisexual attitude. Self-taught in drawing and sewing, he has insisted on utilizing fabrics of high quality when producing an extensive repertoire of suits, shirtings, trousers, dresses and coatings. Tom Robles' pieces have been carried through Gilded Lily, Silver Lotus, Leo and Prairie Sky Books in addition to providing a custom service for a private clientele. In 1986, he participated in a Fashion Show focused on the work of local Filipino designers and, in 2001, was part of a group collaboration for the Times 3 project, a fundraising event for the Ace Art Gallery. Currently, Tom Robles continues to provide a custom service for a private clientele in addition to a teaching career at the Division of Continuing Education, University of Winnipeg.
